For over four decades, the General Breed Fund has enabled youth to attend Vermont summer camps.

Our History

The General Breed Fund was established in 1970 in honor of Stephen "The General" A. Breed. "The General" was a professor at M.I.T., a director at Vermont's Camp Keewaydin, and an advocate for summer camps. His passion was helping youthno matter their financial backgroundattend summer camp.

The Fund currently provides scholarships for campers to attend Camp Sangamon, Camp Betsey Cox, Lotus Lake Day Camp, and Point CounterPoint.

Your donation is 100% tax deductible. The General Breed Fund is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.

(Camp) has probably been the most important part of my life, it gave me strength and confidence I never knew I could posses and all through a loving and fun environment.
